It took a change of heart to find a wilder kind of mind..

I was stressed up tight, wound like a watch spring,
Cold like a New England winter,
Looking inside to warm myself at the dying fire that glowed in my chest.
My heart was on display in my rib cage,
Pacing like a tiger in the zoo.

He was brain dead long before the crash
A crazy biker in a big strong body
Living on the edge of tomorrow, one minute at a time

My only hope was someone else's tragic end
They cut me open and they put his organs in
Where mine had been

I had a change of heart to find a wilder kind of mind..

I drink a glass of wine and tells the boys a joke
With a dirty punch line and then we all have a smoke
I been feeling kinda horny since I awoke....
I had a change of heart

In my dreams I feel him hungry for meatloaf
Desire pumping in our red hot blood stream
Rejecting my old ways, every cell has a mind of its own

Is this a kind of love, two people sharing memories?
I'm born again now that He's put an end to my disease,
And now I see...

It took a change of heart to find a wilder kind of mind..
